Qingdao's farming brand wins acclaims

The 2023 China Regional Agricultural Brand Image Influence Ranking was released in Beijing on Dec 20, with the brand of Qingdao in East China's Shandong province taking 4th place.

This is the 5th consecutive year the brand has been ranked among the top 10.

Qingdao has in recent years implemented a brand-driven agricultural development strategy using investments of over 90 million yuan ($12.6 million) from the city's government. This has led to the cultivation of more than 22,000 agricultural product brands. 

The city is currently ranked first among vice-provincial level cities nationwide.

By extending the industrial chain and enhancing the value chain, Qingdao has taken multiple measures to expand its market share. 

The city successfully hosted the 20th China International Agricultural Products Trade Fair, which was attended by nearly 3,000 companies and over 20,000 branded agricultural products. The event stimulated about 22.65 billion yuan in consumption in related industries such as catering and building materials.

Furthermore, the development of internet-based business models has resulted in the creation of well-known online agricultural product brands like "Wolong Nuts" and "Giant Tomato", as well as 114 renowned agricultural e-commerce leading enterprises, with the total online agricultural product sales reaching 9.5 billion yuan.
