The 2022 China Wealth Forum was held from July 30 to 31 in the eastern coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province.

Under the theme of the "Wealth management innovation path under the new development pattern", the event was organized by the Qingdao Municipal Government and the financial magazine Caijing.

The forum gathered experts, scholars and well-known entrepreneurs from the field of wealth management to exchange ideas and discuss cooperation opportunities.

As an important national central coastal city, Qingdao has a strong industrial foundation, outstanding advantages for opening-up, a suitable atmosphere for innovation and a superior development environment, said Lu Zhiyuan, Party secretary of Qingdao, during his speech at the opening ceremony.

Lu noted that the city has a unique position in the new development pattern and has significant advantages in developing the financial industry.

"We are ready to work with other parties to better leverage the role of finance in supporting high-quality economic development and deepening cooperation to serve the real economy," Lu said.

He added that Qingdao will continue to build a market-oriented, law-based and international business environment to create favorable conditions for domestic and foreign financial institutions and talents to develop in Qingdao.

Since 2015, Qingdao has held eight editions of the forum. The forum has become an important platform and brand activity for the city to promote the construction of a wealth management center.
