The 2021 Asian Agriculture and Food Industry Expo kicked off in Qingdao West Coast World Expo City on Sept 15 and will run until Sept 17.

The opening ceremony was launched in conjunction with the 19th China International Meat Industry Exhibition. Officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, as well as representatives of international organizations have been invited to attend the expo.

The expo boasts an exhibition area of over 50,000 square meters covering the entire industrial chain. Over 20,000 exhibits are being showcased, attracting more than 600 exhibitors.

The expo has also invited officials from the agricultural and rural departments of Shandong, Beijing, and other regions to conduct exchanges focusing on agricultural products, new agricultural technologies, as well as processing equipment.

A total of 15 professional meetings and activities covering agricultural products, animal husbandry, and other fields will be held simultaneously, such as the VIV International Animal Husbandry Industry Innovation and Development Summit, as well as the 2021 International Animal Nutritionist Conference.

In addition, multiple professional buyers and dealers have confirmed their attendance at the expo's agricultural products business matchmaking activity.

With strict COVID-19 control and prevention measures implemented to ensure the safety of participants, the 2021 Asian Agriculture and Food Industry Expo is expected to serve as a platform to foster communications between domestic and foreign enterprises, as well as to jointly promote the development of the agricultural industry.

The expo has been jointly organized by the Qingdao municipal government, as well as the Shandong Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. It is being undertaken by the Qingdao agricultural and rural affairs bureau, the Qingdao Council for the Promotion of Intl Trade, Shanghai Wanyao Qilong Exhibition Company, as well as Wanyao Yuanda Intl Exhibition (Beijing) Co Ltd.
