Haitian Center: Dreaming on cloud

(chinadaily.com.cn) | 2021-09-15

The Shinan district of Qingdao city – located in East China's Shandong province – released its first tranche of 200,000 yuan ($30,962) electronic shopping vouchers for the 2021 Cultural & Tourism Consumption Season, through an online platform in August.

The Haitian Center, located in Shinan, is the tallest building in Qingdao, standing 369 meters tall and with 74 floors. To date, 15 Fortune Global 500 and multinational corporations have located their regional headquarters in the center.

During the ongoing 2021 Cultural & Tourism Consumption Season, the Haitian Center also provides stunning views from as high as the clouds.

Let's take a close look at them.

Diamond Club, the circle platform of Qingdao

The city's most luxurious air club – the Diamond Club, covering 1,500 square meters – offers stunning ocean views of the city at daytime and fantasy lights at nighttime, providing viewers with the ultimate feeling of taking in beauty while floating above the clouds.

The Haitian Center itself boasts an art-related business center for corporate annual meetings and business forums and has become a new hot spot in Qingdao.

City's grand sightseeing platform

The sightseeing platform is equipped with an exclusive direct elevator, which at a speed of 8 m/s can be reached from bottom to top in just 45 seconds. It's perfect for glorious urban sightseeing, as a breathtaking high-altitude experience in itself and for other leisure and entertainment functions.

For most, it is quite simply an awe-inspiring window onto Qingdao from above. The 360-degree floor-to-ceiling glass commands a stunning view of the city and of Fushan Bay. To the more imaginative, it's also a high-altitude glass box that creates a magical journey through the sky and onto the clouds.

Sky Art Center

The Sky Art Center – which integrates art, exhibitions and cultural creations – is an intrinsic part of the heritage of Qingdao and is one of its primary cultural landmarks.

The top-class art palace located 300 m in the sky, occupies 1,700 sq m of exhibition space. It offers an unforgettable cultural feast, as the highest cultural and art museum in China. It functions as a perfect venue for art exhibitions – integrating history and modernity, the humanities and arts – and has become a unique aerial collection of art.

During the ongoing cultural and tourism consumption season in Shinan, local residents can reportedly buy discount tickets by presenting best "scenery on the cloud" shopping vouchers.
