Stout is dark lager beer aged to perfection over months and years in a cellar, using roasted malt such as burnt malt and black malt as the main raw materials to get a brown or dark brown body. It's highlighted by the burnt malt flavor with fewer hops, hence known as the "dark milk".
As the pioneer in China's stout industry, Tsingtao successfully launched its first stout as early as 1932. In 2018, Tsingtao Stout won the Gold Medal in the World Beer Championships. In recent years, it has also developed Chinese date stout and ginger stout, giving a personalized taste to the burnt malt.
