As the flagship audio-visual product of Hisense's courtyard line, the new TV boasts a cinema-grade optical engine, a 151 percent super color gamut and Harman Caton custom stereo, said Yu Zhitao, at Hisense Visual Technology Co.

Yu added that the visual comfort offered by the Hisense Laser TV 100L9-PRO is 20 percent better than paper reading.

According to the China Market Monitor Co (CMM), the retail volume of laser TVs last year increased by 71.72 percent year-on-year, making it the most competitive product in the high-end large-screen segment.

Affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the color TV market got off to a bad start this year, with overall sales volume dropping by 33 percent year-on-year.

However, according to CMM, Hisense laser TV sales increased by 53.3 percent against the trend, making it the only product category achieving positive growth in the color TV market.

According to Yu, Hisense will mass produce 8K 120Hz picture processing chips, AI vision system-on-chip chips and intelligent voice chips, as well as launch its 8K TV products in 2021.

Hisense reported global sales of over 20 million televisions in 2019 and has continued to top the Chinese market. Sales of Hisense televisions accounted for over 20 percent of the Chinese TV market and even topped the South African and Australian markets, according to Lin Lan, vice-president of Hisense Group.
