On May 10, as an activity of the Global Health Forum at the Boao Forum for Asia, representatives visited Qingdao blood station to publicize the notion of "health is everywhere" and the humanitarian spirit of saving lives and helping the wounded in order to raise public's awareness of  "safe blood for all" which is also the theme of this year's World Blood Donor Day.

Health issues are related to nation's safety, economic development and people's livelihood and well-being.

As a pre-event of the global health forum at Boao Forum for Asia, the visiting activity encouraged healthy citizens to regularly donate blood without payment, boosting the fulfillment of "safe blood for all".

The representatives gave high appraisal to the achievement of Qingdao's blood donation without payment.

The first Global Health Forum at the Boao Forum for Asia will be held from June 10 to 12 in Qingdao, which will invite heads of health departments from countries across the world, representatives from health-related international institutions and non-government organizations, enterprises, investors and famous scientists to hold idea exchanges and discussions about health-related topics.
