Japan's second largest aviation company All Nippon Airways recently launched a new all-cargo flight, numbered NH8466, between Qingdao and Okinawa, reported the Qingdao Daily.
This is the third international cargo flight at the Qingdao airport, after the Qingdao-Osaka and Qingdao-Inchon routes.
The flight is scheduled to take off thrice a week – on every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
A director of the logistics company at the airport predicted that the new cargo service will bring the airport 480 tons of goods every month.
What's more, the director added, it will lay a foundation for Qingdao airport to expand freight service into Europe and America and develop into a gateway airport for Japan and South Korea.
