The Tsingtao Beer Leisure and Experience Garden, with an area of 6,000 square meters, will be the largest of all 15 gardens in Green Park. It also has the best location.

According to the design plan, the garden will combine beer culture, garden art, recreation, interaction and drinking together to provide visitors a great experience.

The themed pavilion in the garden will be a 700-square-meter round glass building resembling a huge mug full of beer.

Barley and lupulus will be planted in the garden to give a featured presentation of garden art and make visitors feel as if they are in a green beer pub.

The executive committee of the QIHE said visitors will have the chance to enjoy fresh Tsingtao beer while appreciating the garden. The garden will be open to public during the exposition, which will be unveiled in April 2014.

Green Park, covering an area of 11.7 hectares, advocates prevailing green ideas including ecological concepts, environmental protection and sustainable development.

The parks depict the future of the green industry and are creative initiatives among international horticultural expositions.

To date, all planned 15 participating enterprises have begun construction of their parks in Green Park.

Qingdao in East China’s Shandong province is the first Chinese coastal city to hold an international horticulture expo.
