Jimo is developing new towns by using solar photovoltaic power devices. The towns centralized land in different villages to build solar PV greenhouses. The greenhouses will plant high added-value crops and generate electricity through solar photovoltaic power devices on the roofs. Local peasants can work in the greenhouses and receive profits on their land-shares. Jimo has currently built over 33 hectares of solar PV greenhouses.
