The municipal commercial authority of Qingdao, Shandong province jointly held a negotiation conference with the chamber of commerce in Spain on May 17 in Madrid, to enhance economic cooperation.

The Qingdao-Spain economy, trade and investment negotiation conference gathers Qingdao enterprises such as Haier and Hisense and their Spanish counterparts to negotiate for mutual gains in energy saving and environmental protection, solar energy, machine equipment manufacturing and agriculture.

Both sides agree that Qingdao and Spain hold tremendous potential for economic cooperation and development.

Currently, Qingdao-EU economic and trade cooperation is on the right track. The Qingdao-Portugal economy, trade and investment negotiation conference was successfully held on May 14.
