Qingdao builds city sevice complex

A groundbreaking ceremony for a city service complex being built by Hong Kong Shimao Group recently was held at Qingdao National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone.
With a total investment of $1.2 billion and overall floorage of 13.9 million square meters, this complex will be completed by the end of 2011. The completed facility will include homes, a medical service facility, community kindergarten and business supporting facility.
The complex is being designed to attract professionals and senior business managers, and is expected to attract new high-tech enterprises to the high-tech zone.
Since construction began at the industrial park two years ago, Qingdao National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone has attracted 121 projects with investments totaling 30.6 billion yuan. The projects include a Sapphire LED chip facility, and3G base station antenna.
