Tiger to serve as official mascot of Qingdao Beer Festival

A tiger mascot debuted July 30 at Qingdao Beer City in Shandong. The tiger, chosen from over 10,000 mascot entries, will be the official mascot of the twentieth Qingdao Beer Festival. Its design will focus on the Chinese Zodiac. This year will be the second time that Qingdao Beer Festival designated as its mascot a character based on a tiger.

The yellow tiger was adored by visitors as soon as it made its appearance. The character holds a beer mug with hops and opens its mouth to invite guests to come to Beer City to taste delicious beer and enjoy the carnival atmosphere. The tiger’s big red nose emanates joviality and the Chinese character for king on its forehead symbolizes its mightiness. Its hospitable image is hard to ignore, and its bright colors and friendly features will showcase the festival’s hospitality.
