The CEC Optics Valley Qingdao Marine Science and Technology Park has achieved a significant construction milestone. The first section of the project's second phase recently passed its final evaluation, while the second section is progressing steadily with interior wall plastering. The entire second phase is scheduled for completion by the end of December 2026.

Located in the Qingdao West Coast New Area, the park is a strategic hub for the maritime economy, covering a total planned floor area of 230,000 square meters. The first phase, comprising 80,000 square meters, was delivered in August 2021 and is already fully operational. This current expansion adds another 150,000 square meters to the facility, significantly boosting its capacity for innovation and industrial aggregation.

The park is positioned as a high-end, application-oriented research and development center for the marine economy, as well as a headquarters cluster for the advanced service industry. It focuses on bridging the gap between scientific discovery and industrial application.

Its mission is further evidenced by the caliber of its tenants; Phase I has already attracted over 10 industry leaders, including Morningcore Holding Co Ltd and the China Institute of Ocean Engineering (Qingdao).

As construction on Phase II continues, the park is set to further consolidate Qingdao's position as a leader in marine technology.
