Haiqing Highway Service Area redefines green travel

The Haiqing Highway Service Area, located on the southern section of the Shenyang–Haikou Expressway in the Qingdao West Coast New Area, is now open. Covering over 2,130 square meters, this multi-functional space combines dining, refueling, and high-speed charging in a themed experience inspired by the region's rich tea culture.

Branded as a "Tea-themed Elegant Station", the facility merges local heritage with modern architecture. Every detail, from the spatial layout to service aesthetics, is designed to provide a serene and culturally rich respite.

The area employs a scientific zoning plan to enhance efficiency. The parking facility offers 114 standard spaces, 40 large vehicle spots, and 30 dedicated New Energy Vehicle (NEV) berths, ensuring smooth traffic flow. Visitors can enjoy a range of dining options in the food zone or explore local specialties in the retail area.

Leading in sustainability, the area features a state-of-the-art "PV-Storage-Charging" integrated system. This green energy solution uses solar power to fuel 16 intelligent charging stations, including two advanced liquid-cooled superchargers. Complementing this is a digital ecosystem with smart parking, environmental monitoring, and management platforms.

The commitment to comfort extends to the "smart restrooms", equipped with real-time environmental sensors and guidance systems to ensure cleanliness and convenience. With clear navigation and a focus on low-carbon development, the Haiqing Service Area is a model of how traditional culture and smart technology can harmonize to enhance the modern travel experience.
