Qingdao West Coast New Area, or Qingdao WCNA – located in the city of Qingdao in East China's Shandong province – hosted a news conference on June 9 demonstrating that it is driving rural vitalization in the region.
The news conference showcased its pioneering efforts, significant accomplishments and future plans for establishing a leading model region for rural revival in Shandong.
In the field of industrial rejuvenation, Qingdao WCNA has fortified the bedrock of its food security, bolstered distinctive industries tailored to local landscapes and propelled the advancement of digital agriculture.
In particular, the region has created leading rural tourism brands in locations like Yangjiashanli and Zhangjialou, crafted four exquisite rural boutique routes and delineated eight scenic rural districts.

In the domain of brand cultivation, Qingdao WCNA has nurtured 13 nationally acclaimed new agricultural products – including Huangdao blueberries and Haiqing tea – in addition to fostering 69 well-regarded provincial and municipal agricultural product brands.
In terms of channel construction, Qingdao WCNA has put in place a state-of-the-art specialty rural e-commerce hub, deepened collaborations with platforms like JD.com and Douyin and orchestrated over 10 agricultural product marketing rendezvous annually.
Moreover, regular initiatives to integrate agricultural products into commercial districts and communities are forecast to attract over a million participants yearly.
To uplift agricultural communities, Qingdao WCNA has rolled out an integrated operational mechanism for the region – attracting specialized teams to help shape the province's inaugural integrated rural vitalization operation platform.
