The 22nd Qingdao International Furniture Fair (QIFF) concluded on May 11 at the Qingdao Cosmopolitan Exposition in Qingdao West Coast New Area. The event, spanning 170,000 square meters, featured 11 themed pavilions and attracted over 1,500 exhibitors, including leading brands like Qingdao Yimu and Giss Home. The fair highlighted a comprehensive range of products from solid wood and upholstered furniture to smart home solutions and woodworking machinery.
This year's exhibition emphasized emerging lifestyle trends, with dedicated zones for pet-friendly furniture, eldercare designs, and children's furnishings. Shandong Antister Furniture introduced modular cat furniture crafted from eco-friendly oak, catering to the growing demand in the pet economy. Additionally, eldercare furniture showcased integrated smart features and personalized comfort, reflecting the evolving needs of an aging population.
The event also hosted the Qilu Home Design Week and the Whole Home Customization and Lifestyle Exhibition, promoting design innovation and sustainable living. The bustling exhibition halls and active business engagements underscored the fair's role in invigorating the local economy. According to the Qingdao West Coast New Area Exhibition Development Center, the district hosted over 20 exhibitions in the first quarter of 2025, leading to approximately 7 billion yuan (around $970 million) in consumption and welcoming 470,000 visitors.
QIFF continues to be a pivotal platform for industry professionals, designers, and consumers, fostering collaboration and driving the future of the furniture industry in northern China.
