Shangjia Center, the first POD (Park Oriented Development) urban aesthetics commercial complex in Qingdao West Coast New Area (Qingdao WCNA), has recently undergone an upgrade.

The project covers a total area of 82,000 square meters and a construction area of 420,000 square meters. The above-ground commercial street area is 42,000 square meters, of which the phase I (AB area) includes a double-layer above-ground commercial street area of approximately 20,000 square meters. Well-known chain brands such as Starbucks, Pizza Hut, and McDonald's have already opened, with the current occupancy rate at around 80 percent.
The phase II (C area) has an above-ground commercial street area of 20,000 square meters, with a 52,000 square meter commercial area underground. In addition to the commercial street area, there are two parks above ground, totaling 31,300 square meters. Regarding the main stores in phase II, a contract has been signed with a thematic theater, and negotiations are underway with several well-known chain supermarket brands. About 100 brand merchants have already signed agreements.
Once all phases of the Shangjia Center are fully leased, a total of over 300 stores, large and small, are expected to move in, creating over 2,000 job opportunities.
The above-ground parks at Shangjia Center interact with the underground sections, creating a leisure-oriented commercial benchmark.
