The project will involve building two new 100,000-metric-ton multi-purpose berths and a rear yard, with a designed throughput capacity of 11.95 million tons per year. Integrating the concept of artificial intelligence plus and green, low-carbon concepts, the project will introduce smart terminal management systems, specialized control technologies for bulk cargo terminals, collaborative operation modes for various situations and machinery for general cargo, and new energy operation vehicles. These innovations aim to achieve full automation by integrating intelligent terminal functions across the entire port operation process.
The project will further consolidate Qingdao Port's position as the world's fourth largest port in terms of cargo throughput, while also accelerating the construction of Qingdao Port into a world-class marine port and enhancing the influence of the Qingdao International Shipping Center.
