To expedite the high-quality development of healthcare in Qingdao WCNA, a miniaturized heavy ion therapy system will be installed at the tumor hospital of Qingdao WCNA and an industrial base will also be established, following extensive consultations. The goal is to create a benchmark model of integrated ion health solutions empowered by services and technology.

The project will see the formulation of a mini heavy ion therapy system and the construction of a particle smart center, focusing on health preservation and manufacturing. It will establish an industrial ecosystem in Qingdao WCNA characterized by the in-depth integration of high-end treatment and rehabilitation, technology empowerment, and industrial services.

The tumor hospital boasts a total of 1,000 beds and operates as a non-profit public medical institution. It is expected to become an internationally-advanced and domestically-leading tumor prevention and treatment center, while also serving as a demonstration hospital for miniaturized heavy ion therapy systems in China and a new hub for integrated tumor treatment. It will contribute significantly to enhancing healthcare service capabilities and standards in Qingdao WCNA.
