SAIC-GM-Wuling Qingdao branch becomes pioneer in new energy vehicles

The SAIC-GM-Wuling Qingdao branch recently rolled out its first new energy products, marking the commencement of the new energy industry chain.

The two new products, the Wuling Hongguang MINI EV four-door version and the Wuling Zhiguang EV, represent the latest offerings from Wuling's Silver and Red logo series.

Amid the rapid growth of the new energy vehicle industry and the restructuring of the industrial landscape, SAIC-GM-Wuling is propelling core markets with innovative technology and boosting product innovation. 

Since the Qingdao branch transitioned toward the production of electric vehicles, several new energy products have been introduced on the market, including the Wuling Hongguang MINI EV, Wuling Rongguang electric vehicles, Wuling Rongguang small electric trucks, and Wuling Rongguang new electric trucks.

In addition to the final assembly workshop, the SAIC-GM-Wuling Qingdao branch has achieved a high level of intelligence in stamping, body, and painting workshops, effectively enhancing production efficiency. Currently, a new vehicle can be assembled every 80 seconds.

Serving as the manufacturing base of SAIC-GM-Wuling in the northern region, the Qingdao branch stands as the leading enterprise in the automotive industry chain in Qingdao West Coast New Area and Qingdao as a whole. The Wuling Hongguang MINI EV launched by the company economically meets users' short-distance travel needs, topping new energy vehicle sales charts and being hailed as "the people's commuting vehicle."

With the SAIC-GM-Wuling Qingdao branch at the helm, Qingdao West Coast New Area is forming an automotive manufacturing industry cluster that integrates the manufacturing chain, supply chain, sales chain, and talent chain.
