Qingdao welcomes Spring Festival with art lantern festival

The 2025 Qingdao Spring Festival Art Lantern Festival is set to take place at the Qingdao Cosmopolitan Exposition in Qingdao West Coast New Area from Jan 22 to Feb 15, 2025!

The festival aims to unite diverse talents and wisdom to craft a grand celebration of folk traditions, which offers the local community a rich, vibrant, and culturally resonant artistic feast. 

Leveraging the masterful craftsmanship of the esteemed Zigong lantern festival, renowned as the "Number One Lantern", this year's event will infuse delicate lantern artistry with Chinese cultural elements and local cultural landscapes, resulting in a spectacular and ornate display of artistic lanterns.

Within the cross-gallery of the Qingdao Cosmopolitan Exposition, over 50 sets of auspicious and beautiful large lantern installations will be arranged. Symbolic lanterns representing the theme of reunion during Spring Festival will adorn both the festival grounds and surrounding areas.

The stylish innovation of lanterns and light play will create a harmonious fusion of history and modernity, tradition and contemporary flair.

Additionally, the 2025 Qingdao Spring Festival Goods Exhibition will be held during the festival, with an expansive exhibition space expected to span 20,000 square meters. Featuring a diverse array of products, including confectionery, beverages, daily essentials, fashion accessories, and traditional New Year items, the exhibition is expected to see the participation of over 300 companies.
