In recent years, it has won second place for national scientific and technological progress, four provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological awards, and has secured 22 national-level research projects and over 230 national invention patents.

In the 1990s, faced with significant business opportunities in international markets, Qingdao Bright Moon Seaweed Group took its industrial-grade alginates overseas for the first time.

During the subsequent period, the company began moving towards high-end products such as food-grade raw materials and cosmetics, sourcing materials from Peru and Chile, and establishing Qingdao Moon Beauty Co Ltd.
