Ecological farm in Qingdao West Coast New Area garners national accreditation

Liyuan ecological farm in Qingdao West Coast New Area was recently included on a list of accredited and standardized farms by the National Vegetable Quality Standard Center for the year 2024.

Liyuan Ecological Farm is the only one in Qingdao accredited for the year 2024.

Covering an area of 1072 mu (71 hectares), the Liyuan ecological farm selects high-quality fruit and vegetable seedlings bred through aerospace technology, utilizes imported organic substrates for cultivation, and employs deep well water for irrigation.

Throughout the cultivation process, this farm strictly adheres to standardized production processes. An empirical fertilization plan is used to ensure the robust growth of vegetables while avoiding chemical residues that could harm the environment and human health.

Moreover, in pest and disease control, the farm insists on employing green physical control methods. By using physical traps and other means, a comprehensive ecological protection scheme reduces the amount of pesticide used.

The farm has also introduced advanced agricultural and Internet of Things technologies for standardized and intelligent management across seeding, cultivation, and harvesting.

As a result, the farm's fruits and vegetables not only look and taste great but are also highly nutritious and safe. They have already obtained green certifications for eight major categories and 15 minor varieties.
