The 37th China Film Golden Rooster Awards recently recognized the achievements of film and television enterprises in Qingdao West Coast New Area, with four films produced and shot at the Oriental Movie Metropolis receiving accolades.
Another Day of Hope won the prestigious Golden Rooster Award for Best Low or Medium-Budget Narrative Film, while Has Man a Future earned a nomination in the same category, with its lead actress Jia Huacao receiving a "Best Actress" nomination.
Tiemenguan was nominated for Best Opera Film, while The Sinking of the Lisbon Maru won the award for Best Documentary.
The Qingdao Film and Television Base, the largest of its kind in China, has attracted over 1,000 film and television enterprises, creating a comprehensive industry cluster that covers every aspect of the film and television industry, from planning and investment to production, distribution, screening, and derivative product development.
Since 2019, the base has earned 14 Golden Rooster Awards and over 100 honors, both domestic and international, signaling the region's rise as a major film and television production hub.
