Shipbuilders in Qingdao West Coast New Area (Qingdao WCNA) in East China's Shandong province are ramping up production to meet growing orders.

According to official data, CSSC Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Co Ltd has received orders for more than 60 new ships, with its orders scheduled through the second half of 2028.

In recent years, Qingdao WCNA has been actively promoting the high-quality development of the shipbuilding and marine equipment industry, and the area has emphasized increased technological innovation and strengthened industrial chain cooperation.

To date, the Haixiwan Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering Industrial Base in the area has gathered more than 50 shipbuilding and marine engineering enterprises, including Offshore Oil Engineering Co Ltd, Offshore Oil Engineering Co Ltd, and CSSC Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Co Ltd, forming an industrial cluster that focuses on both shipbuilding and marine engineering manufacturing.

Haixiwan Bay enjoys geographical advantages such as deep and broad bays, a complete industrial chain and concentrated industrial distribution, helping it expand both domestically and internationally.
