Among the planned exhibitions, 8 will be large-scale industry events certified by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, with exhibition areas surpassing 60,000 square meters each. The cumulative exhibition area is expected to exceed 1.2 million square meters this year.

In addition to exhibitions, the area will also host 28 high-end international conferences and forums. Notable events will include the East Asia Marine Cooperation Platform Qingdao Forum and the Qingdao Film and Television Expo.

The East Asia Ocean Cooperation Platform Qingdao Forum, in particular, aims to strengthen collaborations with prestigious entities such as relevant United Nations agencies and the World Economic Forum. It will engage with the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO and other institutions while establishing connections with the upcoming 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference in 2025.
