Early spring job fair held in Qingdao FTZ

A job fair was held on Feb 20 in a collaborative effort between the Qingdao Area of the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone and the Qingdao West Coast New Area.

With separate venues and livestreaming services, the event attracted nearly 500 companies, human resources agencies, and training schools, offering over 10,000 jobs across industries such as optoelectronics, financing and tourism.

More than 12,000 individuals attended the fair, leading to the signing of 6,000 initial employment letters of intent, with the zone accounting for over 1,000 of them. The livestream attracted 1 million viewers.

Distinct features of the fair included a specialized job guidance zone, along with dedicated areas for employment counseling, consultations, and a talent-and-enterprise service zone. Over 2,000 policy promotion materials were distributed onsite.

Looking ahead, Qingdao FTZ is committed to establishing a service brand that provides talent with stability and enterprises with development space. Through coordinated efforts with the new area, the zone aims to create a seamless integration of online and in-person activities, fostering a normalized recruitment model that stabilizes employment, preserves jobs, and propels development.
