During the 2024 Spring Festival holiday, key monitored scenic spots in Qingdao West Coast New Area (Qingdao WCNA) experienced a surge in visitors, with a total of 551,000 trips recorded.
This marked a significant 74 percent increase compared to the previous year, showcasing the area's growing popularity.
Meanwhile, the average room rental rate of 30 key star-rated and branded hotels saw a notable rise to 39.56 percent, reflecting a 12.15 percent increase from the previous year.
This uptick in room rates brought the total operating income of such hotels to 16.69 million yuan ($2.32 million), indicating a substantial year-on-year growth of 29.74 percent.
