Poli town designated as high-quality development town

Poli town in West Coast New Area of Qingdao in East China's Shandong province was recently recognized as one of the "Top 500 High-quality Development Towns in China for 2023".

The announcement was made during the seminar on high-quality development of county-level areas/municipal districts in China for 2023, which took place recently in Beijing.

The First City Economic Consulting Center (First City Think Tank) research team unveiled the Report on High-Quality Development of Towns in China for 2023 during the seminar. The report revealed the list of the "Top 500 High-quality Development Towns in China for 2023".

The report emphasizes three crucial aspects for promoting the high-quality development of towns. These include continuously strengthening the economies, infrastructure and comprehensive services of towns.

According to the report, as of the end of 2022, there were 39,000 township-level administrative divisions in China. Among the 19,000 towns reported by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the built-up area spans approximately 43,000 square kilometers, with a registered population of 170 million.
