Hajiu 2023 Qingdao West Coast Beach Run held

The Hajiu 2023 Qingdao West Coast Beach Run took place along the coast of Golden Beach in Qingdao West Coast New Area (Qingdao WCNA) on Oct 22.

Nearly 3,000 running enthusiasts participated in the event, which offered two categories: a 10-kilometer beach run for both men's and women's groups and a 5-kilometer beach run for individual and family groups.

In the men's group of the 10-kilometer race, Zhang Chao from Shandong Sport University emerged as the winner, while Hou Fengping from Qingdao Wei Ming School secured the championship in the women's group of the same race.

Beginning at the Qingdao Phoenix Sound Theater, the race course proceeded along Golden Beach and passed through Golden Beach Beer City, Shiqueshan gulf trail, and Love Bay.

Since its inception in 2019, the Qingdao West Coast Beach Run has grown steadily in size, attracting a larger number of participants each year. With increasing professionalism and influence, it has become an influential running event in Qingdao.
