Preparations are peaking in the run-up to the Qingdao Gaia Electronic Music Carnival, or Gaia Fest - the first scientific and technological innovation-themed electronic music carnival in China - which takes place on Sept 9-11.
It will be staged in the music plaza of Golden Beach Beer City, located in the west coast new district of Qingdao city, in East China's Shandong province.
The festival has created a world-class stage that will fulfill the potential and creativity of Chinese electronic music IP.
In the design for the main stage, the Gaia IP theme image created by domestic artist Woodsme is taken as the core of the entire stage for the carnival. Starting from the overall design style of a cyborg, the theme of artificial intelligence is expressed with elements such as a mechanical exoskeleton and circuit components. It also draws on the classic hanging eyebrows, red phoenix eyes, ingot mouth, patch, seven-star forehead and other elements of the Daomadan female warrior role in quintessential Peking Opera. That's so that the shape of the entire Gaia stage is full of oriental charm while retaining a cool sense of technology.
The second stage of the Gaia Fest, the Earthling Stage, will play host to big names and pioneers from the domestic electronics music circle.
The Gaia Fest has also invited Song Kun, a well-known domestic artist and guest lecturer at the oil painting department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts - and her team - to bring a "Special Moment" visual performance to the audience on the Earthling Stage.
The third stage is located on the golden beach in Qingdao, one of the finest sandy beaches in the country. Here you can don beach shorts or bikinis, follow a group of new-generation DJs, and feel the rhythm of the hormones and the burning of your adrenaline.
