Street dance competition lights up Qingdao WCNA

The street dance competition of the Qingdao Fashion Sports Festival was held at the Golden Beach Beer City in the Qingdao West Coast New Area (Qingdao WCNA) from July 26 to 28.

The champion team is composed of Gong Sheng, Zhang Yikun, Feng Baohan, Li Changze and Wang Renbo. The team comprising Xingxing, Chen Zihang, Dong Xiaoran, Wei Wenbo and Tan Wenxuan finished second.

The competition lasted for three days and featured a variety of team battle modes, such as adult team competition, children's team competition, the "big boss" challenge and a mentor-led team competition.

During the battles, participants were required to quickly react and perform different dance styles according to the music played by the DJ.

In the dance copy show, participants needed to perform dance styles they weren't familiar with and imitate the dance moves of their opponents.

In the mentor-led team competition, two mentors competed against each other to secure priority in selecting team members. Once the mentors had assembled their teams, the freestyle 1 vs 1 and 2 vs 2 battles took place. The victorious mentors then reassembled new teams to challenge the "big boss" team.

The competition also featured famous hip-hop personalities, including French hip-hop superstar Bouboo and stars from the variety show Street Dance of China Da.switch, Li Shuai, Zhou You and Xiao Wu, acting as judges.
