Qingdao WCNA provides beer festival experience on themed flights

To celebrate the 33rd edition of the Qingdao International Beer Festival, which takes place from July 14 to Aug 6, the cultural and tourism bureau of Qingdao West Coast New Area (Qingdao WCNA) teams up with Qingdao Airlines to host an array of promotional activities on beer festival-themed flights.

This marketing campaign incorporates different elements of the airplane's interior design and services to promote the festival. From the storage compartments and tray tables to the entertainment system and articles in the in-flight magazine, everything on the flight is used as a canvas to promote the festival.

Over two months, this sky-high promotion is projected to reach an expansive audience of approximately 200,000 passengers, spanning over 30 cities and 1200 flights on Qingdao routes.

The campaign took flight on July 15, with the inaugural promotion unfolding at an altitude of 10,000 meters. Flight attendants acquainted passengers with the beer festival via onboard announcements, transforming the cabin into a preview.

In-flight activities included an engaging knowledge quiz with prizes and complimentary craft beer tastings. Victorious participants were awarded souvenirs from the Qingdao WCNA, adding a tangible memento to their unique in-flight experience.
