Over the past few years, Qingdao West Coast New Area (Qingdao WCNA) has made great strides in optimizing its business environment, the fundamental source for market vitality and high-quality development.

Since last year, the area has established a batch of service stations in its industrial agglomeration areas, key enterprises, and communities to offer one-stop services for enterprises in the whole construction and production process.

"We collect suggestions put forward by enterprises and help them make full use of subsidy policies," said Wang Kai, director of the business environment optimization office at Qingdao WCNA.

To date, nearly 100 stations have been built, through which business entities can enjoy services like policy consultations and training.

"In the past, the application process for a business license and registration consumed a lot of energy, but now all procedures can be completed in less than three days," said Xu Hui, director of the grain, oil, and food import and export project of Zhongyida (Qingdao).

Chen Shengjun, director of the service station at Dacun town, helped Zhongyida to register in the Qingdao Area of the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone, as well as to enjoy preferential import and export policies.

Another example of the service stations' effectiveness is the supply-demand cooperation between Sailun Group, a professional rubber tire manufacturing enterprise, and Hyosung.

Hyosung will supply 500 metric tons of steel cord to Sailun per year, accounting for more than 11 percent of Hyosung's annual production capacity. Sailun has realized the local distribution of products in turn, reducing transportation costs by 30 to 40 percent.

Since last year, the area has tackled more than 1,200 corporate demands and held 49 presentations on policies.
