Entrepreneurship, innovation competition concludes in Qingdao WCNA

The 5th China Chuangyi Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition concluded on Dec 8 in Qingdao West Coast New Area (Qingdao WCNA), with 150 out of 73,274 projects entering the finals.

This event's edition featured three special competitions with the theme of young talent creation, brands with significant regional or industrial qualities and rural vitalization, and one major competition focused on the manufacturing and service industries.

Qingdao WCNA has been enhancing its talent policy in addition to hosting events that can bring together young talents, which include entrepreneurship and innovation competitions. Qingdao WCNA has been fostering young talents by creating a unique fund for talent development and venues for entrepreneurship and talent innovation.

As the ninth national-level new district, Qingdao West Coast New Area strives to build three industrial clusters whose total revenue will surpass 100 billion yuan ($14.4 billion) for smart home appliances, high-end chemical new materials, and chip screens, and three industrial clusters whose total revenue will be more than 50 billion yuan for marine engineering, automobiles, and high-end equipment manufacturing.

As a place with beautiful natural scenery, rich culture and competitive industrial clusters, Qingdao WCNA is expected to hold more competitions in the future to attract more talents and enhance the high-quality development of its economy.
