Report to congress inspires officials in Qingdao WCNA

Many officials in Qingdao West Coast New Area (Qingdao WCNA) have said they were inspired by the pivotal report of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) delivered at the opening of the 20th CPC National Congress on Oct 16.

The report laid out goals, tasks, and major policies for developing the cause of the Party and the country for periods to come, calling for efforts to advance the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts "through a Chinese path to modernization", which is inspiring and encouraging for Qingdao WCNA, as the area is striving to become a demonstration area for socialist modernization, the officials said.

Sui Bin, deputy director of the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone Qingdao Area (Qingdao FTZ)'s administrative committee, said the report pointed out that China will promote high-level opening-up and steadily expand opening-up on the institutional level in terms of rules, regulations, management, and standards. In the next step, Qingdao FTZ will continue trials and experiments to advance reform and opening-up and promote high-quality development.

Zhao Yingmin, head of Qingdao WCNA's marine development bureau, said the bureau will implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress in their work and go all-out to achieve an annual 10-percent marine economic growth rate.
