Huangdao ranks 4th among China's top 100 districts

Qingdao's Huangdao district (Qingdao West Coast New Area) ranked 4th on the CCID list of China's top 100 districts in 2022, which was released by the CCID Consulting Urban Economic Research Center on July 27.

It is the only urban area in Shandong province to crack the top 10.

Districts on the list must have a GDP of at least 80 billion yuan ($11.86 billion) and have a general public budget income of over 2 billion yuan.

The GDP of Huangdao district in 2021 exceeded 400 billion yuan, reaching 436.85 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.3 percent.

CCID Consulting, a market research firm directly under the China Electronic Information Industry Development Research Institute of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, is the first listed consulting company in China.
