Qingdao WCNA hosts display industry conference

The 2022 Qingdao International Display Conference and the fourth Global Display Industry Trend Release kicked off in Qingdao West Coast New Area (Qingdao WCNA) on June 23.

More than 500 guests from China and abroad, including industry experts, academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, entrepreneurs from leading companies in the display industry and representatives of investment institutions attended the event onsite or via a video link.

The event focused on the development trends of the display industry and the opportunities of the new display industry, provided insights into the future of the industry in Qingdao city and in China, and created an exchange and cooperation platform to integrate the resources from the government, industry and capital market to bolster the development of the local chip and screen industry.

At the opening ceremony, the Stanford Innovation Lab of the Chuxin Industrial Innovation Research Institute was established. It will help companies in the semiconductor and optoelectronic display industries to innovate their products and services.

Nine reports regarding the latest development trends in the display industry were released at the fourth Global Display Industry Trend Release.

A signing ceremony for 11 key projects with a total investment of 20.6 billion yuan ($3.08 billion) was also held. Covering the fields of materials, equipment and modules, the projects are expected to give a boost to the development of the chip and screen industry chain in Qingdao WCNA.
