East Asia Marine Expo highlights latest marine technologies

The 2022 East Asia Marine Expo featuring high-tech exhibits from home and abroad is being held both online and offline at Qingdao World Expo City, a landmark of Qingdao West Coast New Area.

Themed "Embrace the Ocean Decade for a Shared Future - Blue Ocean and Technology", the expo, which will last from June 21 to 23, is an important part of the 2022 East Asia Marine Cooperation Platform Qingdao Forum.

The expo displays cutting-edge scientific and technological achievements in areas such as marine engineering, new energy and port shipping, and exhibitors are able to showcase their latest high-tech equipment, products and technologies.

The total offline exhibition area covers 60,000 square meters and consists of six exhibition areas that focus on the entire marine industry chain, namely the Marine Economic Development Achievement Exhibition Area, the International Cooperation and Strategic Industry Exhibition Area, the International Emergency and Rescue Industry Exhibition Area, the Marine Equipment and Technology Exhibition Area, the Marine Industry Commodities Exhibition Area, and the Import and Export Commodities Exhibition Area.

According to statistics, the offline exhibition areas have attracted more than 550 enterprises and institutions from more than 70 countries and regions, and the number of professional visitors is expected to exceed 20,000.

The exhibitors include more than 30 Fortune 500 companies, more than 20 national key scientific research institutes, and more than 40 industry leaders. Among the exhibitors, more than 30 well-known enterprises in the industry are participating in the expo for the first time.

The online exhibition was created using virtual reality, cloud computing and other technologies. The number of online exhibitors has increased by more than 500 compared to the previous session.
