The first phase of Qingdao Metro Line 6, which is located in Qingdao West Coast New Area (Qingdao WCNA), is expected to be completed by the end of 2024, according to the three-year plan issued by Qingdao Metro Group on May 9.
The first phase is about 30.8 kilometers long with 21 stations and starts at Xintun Road Station and ends at Ecological Park Station. After completion, it will become a large-capacity backbone line running through the central urban area of Qingdao WCNA.
The second phase of Qingdao Metro Line 6, which is also located in Qingdao WCNA, is expected to start construction by the end of June and be completed by the end of 2027.
With a total length of 13.85 km and 10 stations, the second phase of Line 6 runs from Qingdao West Railway Station in the west to Xintun Road Station in the east.
