Qingdao WCNA receives Shandong's advanced district honor

Qingdao West Coast New Area (WCNA) recently received the title of "2020 Shandong's advanced district in high-quality development of private economy".

According to updated data, the new area includes 405,000 private market entities. Among them, there are 167,000 private enterprises, with three titled as Shandong's top 100 private enterprises, five titled as Shandong's top 10 private enterprise industry leaders, seven titled as Shandong's top 100 private innovative enterprises, and 26 titled as Qingdao's top 100 private enterprises.

WCNA's recent honor is attributed to its sound business environment. In recent years, WCNA has continued to optimize its business environment with a focus on solving issues for private enterprises and accelerating the high-quality transformation of its private economy.

The new area also actively contributes to the technological innovation capabilities of private enterprises. In 2021, 583 enterprises were honored as Qingdao's specialized, refined, differential and innovative (SRDI) enterprises, a year-on-year increase of 71.47 percent, and 19 enterprises were honored as Shandong province's SRDI enterprises.

In addition, the new area gives full support to innovative and entrepreneurial private enterprises and promotes the integration of innovative institutions such as national technology innovation centers, engineering laboratories, research centers, and universities with small and medium-sized enterprises.
