Cangma town in Qingdao West Coast New Area (WCNA) was titled as Qingdao's first provincial-level innovation practice base with the theme "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets" recently.
The town is focused on six major areas covering ecological space, the ecological economy, the ecological environment, ecological life, an ecological system and ecological culture.
With strict measures for ecological protection such as air and water emissions and farmland development having been implemented, the town has also been awarded "China's Most Beautiful Leisure Town", "Shandong Tourism Town", "Shandong Civilized Town" and "Shandong Advanced Town in Employment and Entrepreneurship" titles.
The town is committed to integrating tourism into the film industry, healthcare, business innovation and modern agriculture. For example, the modern agricultural park has introduced 22 projects, of which nine have received an investment of more than 100 million yuan ($15.70 million).
In addition, since the Cangma Mountain film and television base was put into operation in 2020, more than 20 movies and television shows have been filmed with the output value totaling about 200 million yuan.
Cangma town will continue to implement the idea of ecological civilization in its effort to promote economic development in the Qingdao West Coast New Area.
