WCNA holds 8th Sino- South Korea Work Exchange Exhibition

Qingdao Haiyou International Cultural and Art Exchange-the 8th Sino- South Korea Work Exchange Exhibition was held in the Qingdao West Coast New Area (WCNA) online recently. Artists from China and South Korea attended the event.

As an important part of the 2021-2022 China-South Korea Year of Cultural Exchanges, the event was jointly hosted by the the Shandong Art Gallery Association, the Culture and Tourism Bureau of the WCNA and the Cheongdo Branch of Korea Art Association, and it was undertaken by the Haiyou Zhushan Art Museum, which is located in the WCNA.

The year 2022 marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of friendly relations between China and South Korea, and the activity aimed to serve as a platform to deepen the political, economic and cultural exchanges between the two countries.

"Artists from Qingdao and Cheongdo have developed friendly relations through art exchanges, and I hope that the activity will bring warmth to people from the two countries during the COVID-19 pandemic," said Park Jong-tae, chairman of Cheongdo Branch of Korea Art Association.

Having been held seven times, the 8th Sino-Korea Work Exchange Exhibition gathered hundreds of works covering traditional Chinese paintings, and oil and watercolor paintings.
