Qingdao West Coast New Area is the largest automobile production base in northern China, gathering SAIC-GM-Wuling, Foton Lovol International Heavy Industry, CIMC Special Vehicles, WABCO Control Systems and other enterprises, which has formed an industrial chain of passenger cars, special vehicles, auto parts and construction machinery. There are nearly 50 complete vehicle and parts production companies, with an annual production capacity of 550,000 vehicles and engines.
