Located in the middle of the Qingdao West Coast New Area, the Transportation Business Zone covers an area of 29.05 square kilometers in its initial phase. In the zone stands one of the four comprehensive passenger transport hubs in Qingdao—Qingdaoxi Railway Station, which can serve as both a departure station and a terminal station. 

The Transport Business Zone boasts a sound transport network with railway, metro, national road and highway, is 40 km away from the Jiaodong International Airport, and is available with high-speed trains to reach the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region in two hours and the Yangtze River Delta region in three hours. By focusing on the development of five industrial sectors, namely, scientific and technological innovation, trade and logistics, business headquarters, heath care and urban smart manufacturing, the Transport Business Zone is striving to build a new town driven by hub economy, featuring city-industry integration and suitable for living and working.
