New Qingdao model cuts costs, speeds exports via China-Europe Railway Express
Qingdao has launched its first business operation under the innovative China-Europe Railway Express and bonded model. This integrated approach introduces efficient customs clearance mechanisms while significantly reducing logistics costs for enterprises.
A convoy of 50 trucks loaded with Qingdao-made smart household appliances recently departed from the Qingdao Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone, heading to the multimodal transport center of the China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Area in Qingdao. The goods are set to be transported to Russia via the China-Europe Railway Express in the near future.
By combining the advantages of bonded warehousing with cross-border rail services, this model provides enterprises with a more efficient and cost-effective logistics solution.
Unlike traditional export methods via the China-Europe Railway Express, the new model allows for advance tax rebate processing. It seamlessly merges the flexibility of bonded policies with the reliability of railway schedules.
Leveraging the storage capabilities of bonded logistics centers, companies can now plan shipments according to train timetables, achieving a truly seamless connection between bonded storage and international rail transport. This initiative further strengthens Qingdao's pivotal role as a hub in global trade corridors.
