The Northern Micro-dramas City in Qingdao West Coast New Area shone brightly at the 14th China International New Media Short Film Festival, and made it to the top 10 list of micro-short bases nationwide.

The award ceremony focused on promoting high-quality development in the industry and aimed to commend benchmark units driving innovation and dissemination of micro-cinema.

Located in the Cangma Mountain International Tourism Resort in Qingdao West Coast New Area, the Northern Micro-dramas City covers 32 square kilometers, with a building area of approximately 162,000 square meters. It boasts over 100 shooting scenes and can accommodate multiple crews shooting simultaneously.

Since its operation in April 2024, the base has served over 100 crews producing horizontal, vertical, and overseas micro-shorts, with a hit rate of 30 percent. Additionally, the base offers production, crew services and actors to provide comprehensive shooting support for micro-shorts and television organizations nationwide.

Furthermore, the base has significantly boosted various businesses in the Cangma Mountain and surrounding areas, including catering, accommodation, and consumption. It has had a profound impact on Qingdao's film and television industry in terms of teams of extras, makeup and costume teams, film investment, industry resources, and creative modes. This leads to contributions to the combined development of Qingdao's film and television culture and cultural tourism industry.
