This year, Qingdao has been finding job opportunities for the community, creating new models for youth employment, and further improving the local employment service mechanism. From January to September this year, the city created 305,700 new urban jobs.

In the first three quarters, the city's public human resources market organized 960 job fairs, offering 396,000 job positions.

Employment for young people, including university graduates, remains a top priority. Taking the reins, Qingdao is issuing an employment internship recruitment plan which will connect with leading companies to explore high-quality positions that drive industries, have high technical content, and require strong innovation. As of now, 894 internship bases have been established, offering 10,513 internship positions.

Since the beginning of this year, Qingdao has continuously enriched lower-level employment service platforms and established 307 leisure service stations. By September, the city had facilitated the re-employment of 98,000 unemployed individuals and helped 13,200 people facing employment difficulties find jobs.

In Xinhe town, Pingdu city in Qingdao, the integration of community and micro-enterprises with the straw weaving industry has become a crucial driver of local employment.

Currently, Xinhe town has over 90 establishments engaged in the production and sale of straw handicrafts, with more than 6,000 farming processing households and over 20,000 employees involved in the industry.
