Qingdao in East China's Shandong province held a cultural exchange activity at the Berlin Chinese Cultural Center in Germany on April 23 (local time), attracting more than 50 Chinese and foreign guests.

This event featured activities such as tea tasting, art exhibitions, and guqin performances, allowing foreign guests to experience traditional Chinese culture.

Zeng Yingru, minister counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Germany, stated that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Germany, the two countries' relationship has developed healthily, and exchanges between the two countries in various fields, such as economy, trade, culture, and tourism, have deepened.

As an economic powerhouse of Shandong province and a major node city of the New Eurasian Land Bridge Economic Corridor, Qingdao has frequent interactions and close relations with various sectors in Germany, according to Zeng.

In his speech, Pan Feng, director of the Qingdao municipal bureau of culture and tourism, said that in recent years, Qingdao has been working closely with various cities in Germany in fields such as economy, trade, technology, culture, and tourism.

Germany is Qingdao's largest trading partner and source of foreign investment in Europe. Qingdao attaches great importance to the German tourism market and looks forward to deeper cooperation with cities such as Berlin to promote the mutual integration and sharing of cultural and tourism resources and development opportunities, Pan said.
